Gilboa Quarry is 14+ acre stone quarry, located in Northwest Ohio. There are wooded campgrounds encompassing over half of the quarry’s perimeter and it is a great location for diving and dive training. The quarry provides two distinct personalities: the shallow side at 5-65 ft provides great recreational enjoyment, while the deep side of the quarry with cold, dark depths of 130+ ft is suitable for technical training.

There are many reasons to dive Gilboa including large training platforms at 15 – 130+ ft. depths, sunken treasures (Grumman airplane and Sikorsky helicopter), snorkeling for Paddlefish and onsite camping or lodging for divers and their guests.

Gilboa Quarry provides a variety of amenities to meet your specific diving needs. Docks, benches and underwater platforms are provided for your convenience, be it Open Water certification dives, enjoying the underwater sites, or to keep your skills honed for your personal diving goals. Breathing Gas is available onsite. Up to 20,000cf of hyper-clean air is banked to provide for those peak periods when we all want to get wet. Be sure to check your Viz and hydro dates on your cylinders prior to coming out to the quarry. Partial pressure Nitrox blending is also available for tanks that are O2 clean.

France Park is located in Logansport, Indiana. It is a County park that has camping, hiking, biking, fishing and diving. The diving quarry is about 25-30 feet deep in most parts. It also has a bus, truck and habitat for divers to explore. The park charges $2.00 entrance fee and the diving is $10.00 per day per diver. They are open seasonally and diving begins at 9:00am. Haigh quarry is a 12 acre spring fed quarry within short distance of the Michiana area filled with a variety of fish. Blue gill, bass, catfish, perch, crappie, paddlefish, northern pike and Muskie call this Midwest paradise home. Underater attractions include rock mining equipment; the stone crusher, two drills and pipes.

Additional underwater attractions are; a marine dump truck, LARC-amphibious vehicle, 33 ft. cabin cruiser, tricycle park, a 25′ swim tube and navigation course. The quarry has eight training platforms in the 20ft area. At 70ft there is a suspended platform as well. Easy access to the water is via the beach entry or from one of the two 20′ x 40′ covered docks. The land amenities include numerous picinic tables, dressing rooms and an enclosed beach building, palapas, palm trees and a rinse station. The concession stand is open on the weekends from June through September. Parking is ample and is in close proximity to the water.

Reservations are required for weekday and night diving. Entry fees are $20.00 per diver per day and $10.00 per non diver per day. Debit cards, credit cards, checks and cash are accepted.

NO non-diving children under the age of 12 are allowed. No pets are allowed.
